FireFox3 Browser Enters Guinness World Record
The final result is recorded. After the highly successful download day in mid June initiated with the help of the Spread Firefox team, Mozilla Firefox makes it to the Guinness World record for the most software downloaded in 24 hours.
On our previous post we reported an initial record of over 7 million downloads of the Firefox3 browser, the final tally shows an impressive 8,002,530 downloads in the 24 hour period.
If you haven’t yet discovered Firefox 3, it is still available for download. We installed the upgrade Firefox3 on June 17 and are “now enjoying a safer, smarter and better Web.” There really is a huge difference between this high-end browser and the lagging Internet Explorer. 180 million users in more than 230 countries are already on it, so why don’t you?!

Congrats to Firefox. I am a little let down by the new version, but I still continue to use it daily. For now though, Opera will be my default browser.

yeah, there are minor glitches. We’re using ours too, though not seamless, Firefox is our main browser… we believe in the company and know that they’re doing their best to continue improving…
