Internet copyright law

The copyright law exists since the eighteenth century and is enacted throughout the world in a very similar manner. Since the introduction of the Internet, the copyright law enjoyed an extended popularity, since that all illegal downloads are deemed copyright infringement. But that very well known problem is not the only problem regarding Internet copyright law.
To fully appreciate the extent of this elaboration, it should be explained what copyright actually is. Copyright is protection by the laws and legislation to all authors of original works, including musical, artistic, literary, dramatic, architectural and other intellectual works, photography is included. A work does not have to be published to be protected by this provision.
Now have a look at your browser. Everything you see falls under these provisions. This article, the photos, the web site, the design, everything is copyright protected. You are not allowed to rip this site and republish it with other content, that action is considered copyright infringement as well. How far does this go? Well, there is no actual regulation. Technically, if you do not receive the copyright owner’s permission, caching this web site on your computer would be considered illegal. The terms of use, listed somewhere on this host are an obligation as well as release of material for personal use. Usually there is no provision regarding professional use, whereby a direct copy of the web site is in any case illegal. For instance, you are at your workplace, and you have to research for your boss, or whoever, but in your professional authority a topic or any kind of background material. Any and all information you receive and find are copyright protected. Technically, you forwarding the material and his using this material in professional manner would be considered illegal and copyright infringement, rendering you and your boss liable to pay damages to the author.
Farfetched, you say? There are plenty of web pages and software to track down online plagiarism, just Google it and you’ll find out. Rest assured that this article went through a plagiarism checking service before it got published. Blogs are the most plagiarized copyrighted pieces of original work ever. With around forty million bloggers all over the world, it’s inevitable that many not as gifted wannabes will rather steal other people’s well crafted material, than produce very bad written own material. The idea to pay someone who is a pro in writing to write your material should be considered. Don’t steal it, buy it and nobody will complain, furthermore you legally can claim it’s yours. But then you may become plagiarized by stingier people without writing talents.
