Search engine traffic
When a website gains popularity, more and more people will start pouring in. Your hit counter will steadily increase and your website will be more remembered. So, where is the traffic in that? People, people are the traffic themselves. Imagine a crossroads where left is your website. Arrows will point out to your site and the cars will go that way. The flow of people coming and going from your website is the traffic.
Increasing Traffic
People are now using search engines to look for products and services with certain features and benefits. They type those into the search box to look for those things that they want. In your website, use key words that are most wanted by people (demand) in ratio with sites that are less important (supply), these are tips on getting a huge boost in traffic. Once you are set, traffic will keep on generating because you’ve done all the work already, let them circulate by themselves. All you need to do now is just maintain and update your site as needed.
Back Links
These are links that are connected to your website or web page. Back links will let people know just how important your website is by looking at your back link counter. Supposedly, the more back links you have, the more traffic you will receive. Also, search engines will search out the websites that have the most back links, so if your site has the most back links in the web, you will appear top one in the directory. To view these back link counters, you need to have a google toolbar, internet explorer toolbar or the Mozilla’s Firefox counter, either which is fine. To maintain a certain image, display your existing back link counters and reserve those that would come. Because network maintenance will also cost you, of which you don’t need. Secondly, it is best to leave something for yourself because competitors are always lurking around.
Is There Too Much Traffic?
There can never be too much traffic in a site and even, too much is good for you and your business. Counters may reach their limit but you can always reset them, keep the record and do a fresh counter. Don’t forget to let people know the total. Don’t worry when the counter does not run in a certain period of time, there are usually delays in the systems and sometimes, it could even take hours or months to refresh.
