Internet is a welcome medium for many off-topic communities, where these people can freely discuss and correspond with each other, find where similar thinking people are, get information, and perhaps even hook up with each other. Internet has been very good for the whole nudism movement, leading to a really tightly knit community where many information and contacts can be made and found throughout the whole world.
There is not many law regulations which are targeted towards this communities, predominantly the regulations are meant to be of protective nature. But like with any other place where the regular laws were extended to meet the requirements of the information highway, so it happened with this topic, nudism is a movement dedicated to freedom, to free expression, to contact with nature and to relaxation.
Family naturism is very widely spread over the internet, perhaps one of the reasons is the huge popularity of FKK in Germany and France. On the other hand, many voyeuristic elements attract a certain, shall we say quality of people, who like to watch nude bodies. Normally such a voyeur is easily spotted on a naturist beach. But the internet offers the much needed anonymity and distance to the perverted ogler.
Although there are laws, like invasion of privacy, which provide for some protection, the bigger problem here is the interest of the worst perverts there are, the pedophiles. Unfortunately for the family naturism, these predators have discovered the nature loving families enjoying nude holidays pretty early. Therefore, most of the law regulations and Internet law provisions are targeted at protecting the minors.
Returning on the Internet, most of the nudist sites are now required to post a warning before the entrance to the site regarding adult material. Although the sexual aspect of the nudist movement is the most prominent moment for an uninformed mind, the nudity with the naturists is just an expression of closeness to nature. Nevertheless, many visitors to the family naturism Internet sites are more interested in the naked flesh than in the reasons for baring it all.
Interestingly enough, most nudists laugh such childish attempts off. “If people want to enjoy naked skin, then they are half way there to understanding the naturism idea”, would be the half-serious answer. Nevertheless, the legislative body has no humor, so it requested that the access to web sites be restricted to adults and that pictures of underage nudists are to be avoided. With minor exceptions, most web sites featuring family naturism on the Internet followed the order of the law.
